National Historic Preservation Month was started in the 1970s by the National Trust for Historic Preservation as a way to promote historic places and it has been going strong ever since!

Consider participating in the National Trust for Historic Preservation’s This Place Matters campaign.

This Place Matters uses social media to highlight special places in local communities. From the National Trust website: “This Place Matters is a national campaign that encourages people to celebrate the places that are meaningful to them and to their communities.
